Week in Rearview (Roy just wanted to type rear)

We ended up having an unplanned three day weekend since Roy’s class got cancelled last Monday. We took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather and went for a walk. It was wonderful! We also opened some of Roy's new games and had a couple game days this week.

Abby continues to be patient with our Valiant class that mauls her to death every Sunday. We might have to institute the “no touchy-touchy” rule... They literally wait on her hand and foot. Or, in other words, rub her head and tickle her feet. Somehow, she still manages to eat and sleep through it all. Today she was quite noisy as she filled her diaper. The boy sitting next to her commented that she would be really embarrassed later to find out that she was so loud in public. I told him it was okay, that she was a baby, and that he did it as a baby as well. Very adamantly, he insisted that such an act never took place.

She is getting much more adept at finding and sucking her thumb. Once she has her thumb she proceeds to claw her eyes out with her other fingers so we have to work on that. As shown below, Abby has been getting very strong during tummy time. She has also become more interested in looking at what is around her, especially if there are shadows. We also learned this week that she enjoys music while she plays and while she gets rocked for her naps. She is a happy and healthy baby.


Michelle has become involved in a “Music Makers” groups for little kids (yes, that includes Abby). She’s been making Easter Egg Maracas and is in charge of the parachute play portion of the event. Unfortunately, its not the kind of parachute where you throw the kids off a building but it’s still fun. Michelle also did taxes this weekend and we are going to get a butt-load (yes, a butt-load) of money back thanks to little miss Abigail.

Roy continues to be Roy. He forced Michelle to watch two of the Indiana Jones this week and forced her to play his new games. In Sharing Time, the Stake Primary Presidency did Sharing Time and one of them brought an Adle-Adle (sp?). She asked the kids what it was and Roy told one kid to say Adle-Adle. Of course the child did and she replied that she did not know what an Adle-Adle was but it was not that. She said it was an “arrow”. What a primitive word! The thing was the size of a flag pole. Anyways, Roy bit his tongue and let his Primary kid look stupid. Another Sunday, another adventure.
