Family Reunion Post #2 (with more to come)

We headed down to Williamsburg and Grandma and Baba's house first thing Monday morning.  The girls got the tour of Grandma's flowers.  Lydia loved the purple flowers best of all.

Then we had lunch at Stack 'Em High, where the big kids were overjoyed to sit with their cousins.  Abby and Miriam chatted and planned for their future as paleontologists and dinosaur museum owners.  Whatever Sam and James talked about made Sam laugh and adore James even more.

Then we headed over to Great Wolf Lodge for fun in the water with cousins.  Besides Sam crashing into one of the stairs and giving himself a pretty nasty mouth injury, the day was a ton of fun.  We spent 2 days playing in the water.  Thank goodness Grandma took pictures!

In the evening, the Great Wolf Lodge kids club does some activities and a big dance party.  The first night the cousins all rocked out to the music.  It was a lot of fun to see these happy, hyper kids dancing.

These three cute cousins, accompanied by several other family members, got the grand tour of Colonial Williamsburg on Wednesday.  It was an incredibly hot day, they toughed it out walking around town in their cute costumes.  

Meanwhile, Roy and I took Lydia and Sam to the Great Wolf Lodge arcade and they had a blast.  The bouncy balls and fire trucks they won as prizes are still treasured possessions.  

We slept in a hotel for the rest of the week and the girls shared the pull-out couch.  They were so cute with their stuffed animals and curled up together.

Then we had our Busch Gardens day.  Here are the pictures that came from Roy's phone of our fun day:

Abby and Ari were brave enough to go meet Elmo and Cookie Monster.  I was not suckered into the $20 picture so I took my own. :)

Lydia was finally tall enough to go on some of the big kid rides.  It was so fun to see her there with Roy and the kids.

We celebrated the Fourth of July at Grandma and Baba's by playing with toys, playing in water, bouncing in the bouncy house, and having a great BBQ.

We were lucky enough to have Clara and Owen, along with their parents, come visit for the day.  Their mom, Sarah, is Uncle Steven Michael's niece so we're all practically family.

Then we went out to the beach and saw at least 3 sets of fireworks, ate treats, and played on the beach.  It was a memorable Fourth of July.

The boys and girls competed to see who could dig the deepest hole. 

When we got home the next day, we were all exhausted.  Look at these two cute kiddos sharing the smallest bed in the house that night we got home. :)
